More positive news about our fight against Alqaeda and the war in Iraq:

"US Making Gains Against al-Qaida" from this site:

The chief of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, General Michael Hayden (Air Force) says al-Qaida is losing influence in the Middle East and is on the defensive in other parts of the world.

Hayden cautioned that al-Qaida remains a serious threat but said it has suffered a "near strategic defeat" in Iraq and Saudi Arabia. He said the terror group has faced ideological setbacks as much of the Islamic world rejects its radical form of Islam.

Persistence pays off people...!

And in this fight against the radical religious fanatics we are facing today persistence is one of the crucial keys to solving the Alqaeda/religious extremist problem...!

Not surrender like chickens, but stay, fight and win it!

As the report indicates they are close to been defeated finally in Iraq due to our tuff stance of "no retreat, no surrender and reinforce our forces to win" tactic championed by McCain and a few others!

If we listened to the Democrats like Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev who said as reported by all news organizations a little over a years ago "Reid Says Iraq War 'Lost'", (and as noted in the following ABC News link) and then followed their calls for basically a "stampede" withdraw out of Iraq we would have HAD another Viet Nam type of massive loss again:

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2007/04/reid_says_iraq_.html

...But as we see in the latest reports coming out of Iraq, including this latest assessment Iraq was always winnable!...it just took vision to follow the hard course of victory, instead of the easier quicker one of retreat and defeat..!

And this shows that the judgement of people like McCain is correct and people like the Democrats like Reed and Obama (and some Republicans too) is incorrect.

...And we need to win in Iraq not just for all the strategic needs, etc, but most important so the deaths of the over 4000 service personnel that have died there will not have been vane!

Just for this last most IMPORTANT reason we MUST win in Iraq, and NOT leave until the mission is over, until we have an Iraq that will not fall back into chaos, into Alqaeda or Iran or any other extremist group hands, in which case would make the ultimate sacrifice of our brave dead service personnel deaths in vane!

We need leader (Presidents, Congressmen/women) that will not be as blind concerning the Big Picture of things, and why it is important to sometimes do the hard things instead of the easy things, and have the guts to face the music and stand for what is best for the country and NOT what is more popular!

We, as a nation, need to
grow some balls
again like we had during our fight against Hitler back in WW2, I think we have lost much of them, but we need to get them back now, because the bunch of animals we are facing today are tough and do not care about negotiations or peace talks, or any appeasement!

We are winning in Iraq, and the progress there has been outstanding, but you barely hear about it now, because that would show that Obama is
out to lunch
on what needs to be done to fix the biggest problem we are facing today in the world....the war against fanatical Islamists all over the world, specially in the battle ground that is Iraq!

Follow the correct Leader people..McCain, a survivor, a winner, not a looser like Mr Reed or Obama are, and who want us (as a nation) to be!
